O Thou Eternal Light of the Universe,

Thou art the Source of my life,

my inspiration and my joy.

May my gaze ever remain fixed on Thee;

May it never turn back upon myself.

Help me to keep my spiritual fire burning;

May I never let it grow dim or be extinguished.

May I devote my whole heart to Thy service,

And find my strength ever in Thee.
